Heaven together with fire: the image of Fellowship with Men. The I Ching tells us that
Men bound in fellowship first weep and lament, but afterward they laugh. After great struggles they succeed in meeting.
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi episode 10 only shows the weeping and lamenting phase, as various members of the Otogi bank are kidnapped by the delinquents from Onigashima High School. With their forces divided, the Otogi bank looks all but conquered, but I’m not worried, because it looks like we are heading into the final showdown.

Another week with me falling behind. Here I try to keep up, by writing about Shiki episode 6, Occult Academy (Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin) episode 7, and Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi episode 7. Before we get down to it, you might want to know that the mysterious driver of the cart has produced a chart revealing anime expected in Fall 2010. Take a look now, and start wondering about shows you won’t be able to watch for months.

An excellent week all around
Well, I’m about a week behind, so this will be a short rave about Shiki episode 5, Occult Academy (Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin) episode 5, and Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi episode 6.

The Final Boss.
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi episode 5 picks up the larger plot that was suggested back in episode 2. The Onigashima High School students (who attacked Ryouko in episode 2) are still causing trouble. The Otagi Bank responds by busting in to directly confront the Oni school’s new student council president. For comprehensive screen caps check out the Emory Anime Club’s site.
Ookami-san 4: there is no debt between friends

This episode features Otsuu Tsurugaya, the maid.
Episode 4 of Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi continues the development of the side characters, but, unlike last week, it seemed to do a better job of balancing side character development with deepening of the main couple’s relationship. The featured character is the Otogi Bank’s maid, Otsuu Tsurugaya, whose story is inspired by the Japanese folktale, Tsuru no Ongaeshi (A Crane’s Repayment for the Kindness Received).

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (Wolf and her 7 friends), hereafter Ookami-san, episode 1 succeeds as a parody. both of famous fairy tales, and of the romantic comedy genre. We also got a quick introduction to some of the characters, and a sense of the tone and setting. It pretty much goes without saying, with JC Staff on hand, that the animation was attractive and entertaining.
